Illustrating the Spring Garden

Join this 3½ hour workshop and learn how to draw the vibrant forms of The Savill Garden in a joyful and expressive way with local artist Annabel Hocking.
Begin by visiting the Garden where you will come across a range of spring displays to photograph as inspiration for your art.
Then meet back in The Lawns, a private space of The Savill Garden, where Annabel will guide you in turning your photography into illustrations.
Annabel will also provide you with tips for illustrating the Garden, and how to bring your work to life in ink and watercolour.
Included in your Illustrating the Spring Garden ticket:
- Guidance from local artist Annabel Hocking
- All materials and equipment
- Coffee, tea and biscuits
- Car parking at The Savill Garden & Adventure Play car park
- Entry into The Savill Garden for the duration of the event
- Your finished artwork to take home
Important information
- Entry into The Savill Garden is for the duration of the Illustrating the Spring Garden event only. Those wishing to visit The Savill Garden after the event will be required to purchase a ticket from the Ticket Desk
- Toilet facilities are located in The Savill Garden Visitor Centre
- Food and drink are permitted in The Lawns only. Food and drink are not permitted in any other part of The Savill Garden
- Do not pick any flowers or plants, and please keep to the footpaths when visiting The Savill Garden
- This event will be held outdoors. Please dress for the weather and an indoor venue will be prepared for inclement weather. Refunds will not be given if you choose not to attend due to inclement weather
- Assistance dogs only are welcome at this event
